Some Fruits of the Harvest
These are some of the things that kept me busy this summer. I was meaning to make this a post of all that I did, but of course, I never got around to it. I canned salsa, pizza sauce, spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, applesauce, apple butter, 4 kinds of jam, hot peppers, froze peaches, green beans, corn and chicken. I think that's all. Yup, I was busy, but our freezer and pantry are full!

Soccer mom...and I LOVE it!
Yes, we are still alive. It has been crazy around here for, well, for as long as I can remember at this point. I am behind on a lot of stuff, especially blogging. One of these days I will get caught up on blogging our summer. I will. But for now, I am going to have to take it one day at a time. The kiddos had their first soccer games on Saturday. It was so much fun to watch them. Ava's team was hilariously clueless and Maddox's team was surprisingly improved. We shall see how the rest of the season unfolds.

2 Babes in School
Another year. Another kid in school.
I didn't want to let go of my little girl this morning. I fought back the tears and didn't cry, but I could have. easily. My babies are getting so big. They are growing up too fast. How does this happen? Why? I don't want them to grow up. My heart can't take the change. But it's going to have to. I gotta suck it up. Because it's only going to get harder.
I can't wait to hear about their 1st day of school. Big day!

A Date With Maddox
Maddox and I had our day out today. I love being able to spend individual time with each of the kids. This kid is a nut and he is so much fun to hang out with. It's hard to believe he is going to be a big 1st grader soon...

If we can't go to the beach...
We celebrated Ava's 5th birthday today with a beach theme. She wanted a sand castle cake, so we had a beach party to go along with it. Unfortunately it was way too hot to be outside, so our beach was strangely inside. We had fun anyway. We played Mario, ate beach inspired food, opened presents and of course, ate some cake.
I can't believe our little girl is five. But I won't go on about that today. It isn't her birthday yet!
