I made a dress for Ava the other day. I got the inspiration from Kristen. She has made some adorable dresses for her little girls.
I happened to have some fabric on hand and so I ordered the pattern that day and made it! Now I'm hooked. I need to make a trip to the fabric store so I can make more! Now, if only I had some nieces to make these for too...

love it! you may not have nieces, but your favorite cousin has a little daughter named kate. :) i want to know why you got grandma's creative genes, and the scruggs girls missed out big time on that. :( i am jealous. so i am wondering, is there an adult version of this dress? i would dig it. :)
So cute! I think I'm going to have to have that pattern, too!
Oh Alyssa... I can't sew at all! I even have a brand new sewing machine that I can't use. I need lessons!!!! :( You did a great job! (I have a baby girl too btw!)
Don't look at me for nieces. But I do love the dress!
cute! you should start an etsy store!!!
yeah, and those genes skipped a generation...what's up with THAT? Ava, you are the cutest model your grandma ever saw!
Love it...Lindsey would be a surrogate niece if you desparately need one....
Ahhhh!!! Love love love it!!!
So glad I could be of some inspiration to you! There is nothing more adorable on beautiful little girls than handmade dresses :) It is completely addictive though...so watch out!! Can't wait to see what else you create!!
Did you see the Carson rhumba top in Mindy's shop?? I can't wait to try that one!
Happy Sewing!
Kristen
I had that pattern back in the '70's. Didn't I see that dress on Ava on Sunday? I thought it was so cute!
oh my goodness she looks absolutely adorable in that with her little haircut!
i love it.
So cute and great job Alyssa! Is this a pillowcase dress pattern? I have seen these online and just haven't gotten around to making one yet for my girls! Again, great job!
