Ode to Spring

I need Spring like a child needs a blanket.
I long for Spring.
I long for the sun to warm my cheeks.
I long to wake up without feeling aches in every inch of my body.
I long to not be in a constant state of blah.
I long for evening family walks, bicycles littering the lawn, flip-flops lining the wall.
I long for green poking out of our garden soil.
I long for a good, sweaty jog.
I long to be motivated for longer than 30 minute increments.
I long for vitamin D.
I long for Spring.

please tell me you do too...that it isn't just me...that these winter blues soon will pass...

Not too cold for sledding!

It has been sooo cold here lately.
Like, super cold.
Colder than normal cold.
Eleven below cold.
So cold your snot freezes.
Okay, you get the point. Well, apparently it wasn't too cold to head to grandma and grandpa Sweigart's to go sledding. Probably a good thing it got dark fast, because, like I said before...it was cold.

First Snow!

The kids were anticipating this snow. They had heard it was coming. Maybe rain. Maybe snow. They were happy to see that it was snow. It was kind of strange to not have Maddox home with us to enjoy it.

Adventure

Brent took the kids on an adventure today. Seems like we've been trapped inside since it's been cold. It was nice for them to get some fresh air and release a little energy.
