The grass is definitely greener!

Today, and the rest of the week, for that matter, has been a blah day. I've been trying to find the "bright" spots in it. Here are a few...

I am trying to be patient with this boy. I made the decision the other day to go to underwear. It's been three days and he's had one accident. Unfortunately, the only reason for that is because I tell him to go all the time. If I left it up to him, he probably would be peeing all over the house! I'm being taught something through all of this. I'm not sure what it is, but I'm trying to let go and be patient. It is not an easy thing to do!

I leave you with this note Maddox wrote. He brought it home today and it brought me to tears. I have had a rough week being hit with the reality of two kids in school next year. I'm sure the gloomy weather has a lot to do with, but it makes me sad. What a sweet boy he is, lifting my spirits without even knowing it!

It's not getting any easier

Ava's last day of preschool was today. They finished out their class with a short program and snacks. I still haven't figured out if Ava realizes that she doesn't get to go back or if she just doesn't care. She was very mellow during the program, which is normal. But the rest of the time, she just brushed everything off. She only wanted to say goodbye to her teach, Ms. Mary. No one else. She wanted to get a cookie and leave. It was weird. She was cranky the rest of the day. In my overthinking way, I think she just struggled with dealing with it being the end, so she just ignored it. Who knows.

I know it was hard for me to walk out of that room. It was the weirdest feeling. It took me by surprise. I was definitely not expecting it, but I didn't want to leave! I'm going to miss going there every week. But at least we get to do it again in a year and a half. Poor Kade is stuck with me all next year!

I've been living without a car this week while it's in the shop, so Grandma had to take us to and from preschool today. We celebrated with a trip to McD's for lunch.

Not a tornado

We've had some pretty crazy weather lately and don't like it very much. But one thing I do like about Kansas skies is the sunsets I get to see. I grabbed my camera and ran outside the other night to get these fun shots. So beautiful.

With his own two hands

Maddox's class put on a program this morning for a little end of the year celebration. It was really good. When they broke out in Jack Johnson, I almost cried. It was so sweet. Once I get the video I will have to share it with you. For now, here are a few pictures that aren't that great, but are pretty funny, none the less.

Mama's Day

We went to the zoo and had a picnic for Mother's Day this year, which would have been more enjoyable had it not been so cold and windy. We enjoyed our time as a family anyway.

I have three pretty spectacular kids, if I do say so myself, and I am very thankful for them. They love their mama and that warms my heart.

no more

I can't do it anymore. I'm done for today, but here you go. Look down and you shall see lots and lots of new posts. The baby chicks are the last new post, so keep going until you get to them!

Be happy. I'm pooped!
