What is your shoe size, ma'am?

Friday night, we had Brent's family over for a little extending-Thanksgiving gathering. I made my first pot roast EVER! I think they all liked it (I wouldn't know, I don't like pot roast, so I'll have to take their word for it!). Maddox decided to take up a new profession, shoe salesman. Silly boy.

Me and my three

My boys

This was our attempt at capturing a picture of all four of us...it didn't work too well!

Kade gave up quickly, so this was the end result.

Around, and around...Go around again!

Tuesday, we spent the morning at the park. It had been awhile. After the park, it was grilled cheese sandwiches at Grandma's and then naps, while I helped start the Christmas decorating.

I love this holiday season

Fall Sampler

Today was Maddox's fall sampler program at his preschool. We enjoyed watching and listening as his class filled us in on all they have been learning so far this year. My personal favorite, "I'm a nut". You'll have to ask him to sing it for you sometime. After the program, we all went downstairs to their classroom for some refreshments.

Maddox looks thrilled to be here. But don't be fooled, he loved putting on a show!

Who wants to sleep in the tent?

Kade thought he should make a snack out of the peanut bowl. Get down Kade!

Brent decided it would be fun to set up the tent in the basement on Sunday night at 7:30. Hmmm. The kids enjoyed it, I guess.

Maddox's 1st Picture Day

Today is picture day at Maddox's school. Wow, this will happen 12 more times in his life...Anyway, I just thought he looked so handsome, I had to share some pics. One is classic Maddox, and well, the other is classic goofy Maddox.

Tractor Tippin'

Today we celebrated Kade's birthday. He turns two on Monday. After last night's drama, we weren't too sure how he'd be this morning. Not to worry, he was full of his usual energy, happily entertaining his guests. We danced to music, played a few rounds of Ring-around-the-rosie, opened books and tractors, ate some food and cake and ran around the house. The birthday boy had a blast.

Bump Thump Wump

We made an unexpected trip to the doctor yesterday evening. While I was in the kitchen baking Kade's birthday cake, the birthday boy decided to get a little crazy. He removed all of the pillows from the couch and thought it would be fun to dive into them from atop the couch. Well, as you may imagine, this then propelled him into our coffee table. Needless to say, we ended the evening with five stitches. He sure is a tough little guy. He only started crying as the doctor was putting in his last stitch. This of course helped mama's nerves. I wasn't doing so well as I frantically called Brent several hours earlier.

Romping in the leaves...take two

What a difference a few days make. The last post we had of leaf throwing, the kids were in their sweatshirts and coats. This one, several days laster, they are in their beach t-shirts! Hmmm...

Happy Halloween!

Halloween gets more fun each year as the kids get older. This year, Maddox got to dress up for school. Here he is posing as 'LarryBoy' for me before we head out the door.

Ava thought she needed to dress up too, so while her older brother was at school, she decided to put all her dress up clothes on at once. She was smiling for the picture, but never took her eyes off the tv!

Meet Bob the Tomato, LarryBoy, and Tinkerbell

Ava's face is so funny as she giving or avoiding a kiss from Bella...not sure which one.

Kade's hat was a little big, but he often didn't do anything about it. He just played the part.

Falling Leaves

I love Fall. I have such fond memories of playing in the leaves as a kid. It was so much fun to watch my own little ones enjoy them as well.

I asked Ava to sit and smile nice for me. This is what I got. So silly...and she's getting sooo big!!
